今回はオーストラリア・ブリスベンのJohn Paul Int'l Collegeに留学しているFさんの日記です。学校の様子がとても良くわかる内容になっています。
Hello guys, I’ve been spending on third week in Australia. So, I’d like to talk about JPIC’s school life by myself.
Look at the picture. This school is John Paul International College. All students and teachers call it JPIC. This school has only international students, but I know that this school has a different kind of school which teachers call JPC. It is gone by local students and other countries’ students.
This school has lots of buildings to play something, to take lessons and to do club activities. Look at these pictures. This school has a big oval and basketball court. These places are used in morning teatime and lunch time by many students. I have used this basketball court with my Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese and Chinese friends many times. When I played 5vs5 of basketball, I was super tired. And look at the third picture. The picture we can see very big tennis courts and basketball courts. We can’t use these courts in morning teatime and lunch time, but we can use these courts when we do club activities. JPC and JPIC have lots of other places. For example, a tuck shop, a health center and a library. The tuck shop means the food shop. The health center means the school’s own hospital.
This picture is my school lessons timetable. JPIC’s English lessons are so different my school’s English lessons. They have reading, listening, writing and speaking, so all students must take four English lessons. Also, all students must take Mathematical, HPE, AW and Supervised study. HPE means that P.E. class. I have been taking swimming lessons since week 2. AW means like a long homeroom lesson. We drew the painting about JPIC’s rules. Supervised study means that reading English books or do homework. I read SLAM DUNK 2 English version. Someone may be realized that I must take main subjects are only English and Mathematical. I think that this one is the most different with my Japan school. I feel glad to the thing, but Mathematical is so hard. When we finish 2nd lesson or 4th lesson, we have morning teatime and lunch time. Both times are to take break and both times limit 40 minutes.
I went to Brisbane city. This place has lots of super big buildings. First, I went to City Botanic Gardens. It is a super big park. We can see much nature, a water fountain and many animals. Looking at the picture which there is a lizard. The lizard’s name is Dingo. It is so big if you see directly it, but it is very cute.
Next, I went to a big hotel to see beautiful views. There are so many food shops. We can see almost all Brisbane city’s views. I can see Brisbane city’s beach, and there has one funny thing that I can see the under of Brisbane city’s views from floor windows. It was so scary for me to touch floor windows.
Finally, I went to shabushabu China version. There are a lot of food of China. I had meat, eggs, french fries and vegetables and drank a calpis. Some food are so delicious, but other food are so spicy. It was very good for me to experience other countries culture.
