本日は午前中にEsplora International Science Centreにてワークショップと展示見学を行い、午後からは英語のレッスンに参加しました。
Esplora International Science Centreは体験型の科学学習施設になります。理系志望の生徒も多く、スタッフの英語での説明を真剣に聞き、楽しそうに体験的に学習していました。日本語で学んできた知識が英語での説明に繋がるという貴重な体験ができました。ワークショップではスタッフの方の説明を英語で聞きながら作品を作りました！作成中の写真も添付してありますので是非ご覧ください！
3日目のAtlas Language Schoolでは昨日に引き続きクラス毎に分かれて授業を行いました。
AdvancedのクラスはTechnologyやBiologyについて学びました。
Regularのクラスはクロスワード等の活動を行い、Robotについての映像を見てReadingやWritingに取り組みました。
以下は生徒からの本日の様子を報告になります。まずはSさん(高1)からになります。
Today, I visited the museum, ESPLORA in the morning. In the museum, I crafted a toy which makes me understand how gear systems work. Crafting the toy with my friends was exciting and the systems were interesting. After that, I experienced exhibits such as the plasma ball, the electric circuit and Newton's cradle. I was interested in these exhibits because I like science and technology. Then, I found a nice souvenir. It’s a periodic table puzzle and I bought it for science club members. I think that it’s so enjoyable and I plan to play the puzzle with my club members. In short, I enjoyed science and technology in ESPLORA with my friends in the morning.
続いては午後の授業の様子をS(高2)さんから報告してもらいます。
Today, I'd like to share my impressions of my school classes. The class was mainly about speaking. I went to the museum in the morning and discussed good things there. Next, we did problem exercises. I studied a lot by reading sentences, making sentences, and connecting them. The difference from Japan was that it was a new style of class where we studied English while talking to the teacher rather than solving it ourself. I enjoyed studying because I did it while talking, and it was good. Thank you for reading!
