2週間目の授業が始まります。今週から2名がAdvanced Classに移動します。マルタの生活にも慣れてきて、生徒たちの表情ががらっと変わって笑顔が増えて、生徒同士の交流が多くなりました。マルタの午後は暑いので、午前中にアクティビティが用意されています。今日は有名な青の洞窟Blue Grotto を訪れました。その後ガラス工房を訪れ、生徒たちはご家族や友達のお土産を選んでいました。
まずは高1のOさんからの報告です。
Today,we went to Brue Grotto.So,we went to see a beavtiful cave in a small boat.The cave was beautiful, but the sea was also beautiful.I was able to take a lot of good pictures.And from there, I could see a very wide sea. Malta is said to be half size of Tokyo 23 wards, but I think there are more good views than Tokyo.We are enjoying Malta!










こちらは授業の様子を中2のHさんより紹介してもらいます。少し長いですが、授業の内容がとてもよくわかります。今日は2クラスとも同じトピックの授業でした。
Today, two members joined our class. One of them was my roommate. I did chess with my classmates before the class and I won all games. We usually stop goofing around in 1:25 pm. We can pick our seats in class. 2 new students sit right next to me. In first period, we learned about two things: first we learned types of food. We filled up a brainstorming chart and shared with classmates. Next, we learned adjectives to describe foods. For example, spicy, sour, slimy and crunchy. we did 2 games to understand the uses of adjectives. First game was to pick one food and adjective. Then ask for some random student to act how there face goes when they ate that food. Next game was to pick one food and adjective and guess that adjective by acting. In first game, I had to act “slimy + beef”. I spit out as soon as possible. Because slimy beef is basically rotten. In second game, student T acted like he was doping. The answer (adjective) was “umami”. First period was all about that. For 30 minutes break, I played uno with my classmates.
I’d like to invite Andrew to the UNO game next day. For next period, we made the group and talked about imaginary restaurant. We did these kind of game last in last class and it was very fun. So, I was very exited. Andrew ( our teacher ) gave us theme and some random food to put it into the menu. We chose theme “Andrew restaurant” and Andrew gave us Marshmallow and grasshopper to use it. We created many menu relate to Andrew. As an example, we made food named “Andrew’s trauma salad”. This food contains Andrew’s least favorite food “peanuts and grasshopper. “Bear chocolate”for chocolate shaped like Andrew’s bear. After talking about recipe, it was already time. Time passes insanely fast in this class. We love this time and I’d like to study more Engy with teacher Andrew.
