What better way to understand the territory you hope to capture then by exploring it. The students spent the morning walking around a popular spot called "The Point" before taking a harbor cruise. The course was a little over an hour but much reconnaissance was gathered. One student, K-san, made the following statement: "We got on a cruise ship this morning. The wind felt very good. After that, I ate chocolate-flavored and vanilla-flavored gelato at a gelato shop. It was very good. At school, I learned about movies, comparative, and superlative. I had grilled chicken for dinner. It was very delicious."
The students heard many announcements on the boat but you can never get enough practice. We headed to the language school for more listening exercises. It was especially tough because students were tired from the sun and wind.
In the evening we had grilled chicken in a delicious Maltese sauce. The students let the staff know their appreciation - in English.
