A group of students from Kogakuin came to Malta to gain skills and have fun. The mission was a success. As the trip is winding down there was just a few more fun activities to do. First up was a little shopping in one of the busiest areas of the island, St. Julian’s.
After shopping the students attended their last day of classes. Upon completion the students received certificates from their caring and thoughtful teacher.
Students explored the nightlife of Valletta before heading for bed. The last night in Malta was both exciting and fun.
The next morning it was time to pack up and head home. The plane was late arriving to Malta. Normally this wouldn’t be so bad as it gave students a little bit more time to absorb the sights and sounds of Maltabut it led to a 4-minute change of planes in Dubai. The students banded together and followed directions diligently in order to make it in time for the last flight. Impressive to say the least.
I hope students take time to reflect on their experiences and see how much they have grown. For many this was the first time overseas. They were able to follow a schedule by themselves, their English improved with classes and being surrounded by the language, and they even had to do cleaning and laundry. They arrived scared and timid but left confident. The students would do well to keep this new confidence going into the rest of the school year. Thank you to all involved. お疲れさまでした。
