Hello guys, I’m student R who is going to John Paul International College in Brisbane. It’s been almost 5 weeks since I came here. I can’t believe there are only 5 weeks left of my study abroad. Today I’ll talk about how I’m spending my week.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, homestay students called EDP have time to study and eat dinner after school. I don’t like this time because there is little time for communication. I also don’t like school dinners. The volume is small and the taste is not good. But then, when I get home, I go to the supermarket or restaurant with my roommate and host brother to eat some snacks, and then go to the gym together. I have a lot of fun when I’m at the gym.
Every Friday after school, we go to the gym and then go to the community together. First of all, we all play together and do various things. After that we read the Bible and discuss Jesus Christ. The content is very difficult for me, but it’s very interesting. Actually, I tried praying last Friday, but I didn’t do well at all. Everyone there was very kind, but I was very disappointed that I couldn’t do well. I decided to learn more about religion.
Every weekend we go to Brisbane city or Gold Coast. Last Sunday I went to the Gold Coast beach for the first time and got stung by a jellyfish. It hurt a little, but it was on the sole of my foot, so it was okay.
In this way, I’m enjoying a life that is different from Japan.
Recently, I have become more confident in my English. I have good relationships with people, and I enjoy studying. I’ll do my best for the remaining five weeks. Thank you for reading.
