今朝の朝日は水平線に雲が留まり、幻想的な景色となりました。

今日から本格的に英会話レッスンが始まります。事前のオンラインテストと昨日のスピーキングチェックを経て、Regular class 11名、Advanced class 6名に分かれました。午前中はお隣にある大学施設で昨年もお世話になったSonia 先生のレッスンです。8/14までに大学生たちにVlogを作成して、プレゼンテーションを行います。まずはice break自己紹介はemoji 絵文字を使って自分の日常の気持ちを紹介、そして、毎日バッグの中にあるもの3つを英語で紹介していきました。今日からは生徒たちに一日の様子を報告してもらいます。まずはTさんからです。苗字のイニシャルでご紹介していきます。

Today in the morning, we had a workshop on making VLOGS about Malta, whether it is about their favorite place, surprising experiences, the differences of culture and food between Japan. The word VLOGS is a combination of the word “video” and “blogs”. Instead of writing about our days, feelings, experiences like in a blog, we record a video to share it with others. After that we planned on what our topic is going to be, and what we places or things are we going to talk about in the video. In my team, we chose the topic “Our Favorite Places in Malta”and chose the places that caught our eyes the most which were Blue Grotto, Gozo, and the Popeye village for now. While visiting, we are planning to take videos as much as possible so that we could choose which video to use in the end. Then we presented the topics to the class and the teacher gave us advices on what you should focus on. For example in the Blue Grotto, we could also focus on the surroundings like the temperature, weather, and how what kind of boat we are in. Making these videos will be until the 14th to show it to some people during the interaction of college students in Malta. Personally, I am very excited on how the video will end up and seeing the other group’s results as well.

午後はAtlas Language School に徒歩で向かいました。Fさんからの報告です。

Today, I'd like to share my impressions of my school classes. I felt a bit curious toward form of lectures. My teacher conducted lessons like we can say answers without hands up, and the major of lessons styles was discussing. Therefore, we could say our opinions like freedom. Moreover, I enjoyed teaching Japanese to my funniest teacher. He already knew a Japanese word about "fighting!", whereas he learned about "baldness" and " I'm handsome" in Japanese. I thought his Japanese pronunciation is so amusing. From now, I want to teach him more Japanese which he has never heard.
