スペインMedina Azaharaの生徒たちと工学院の生徒が、両国の繋がりを慶長年間から考える「慶長プロジェクト」。最終日は、宗教をテーマに、社寺訪問とスペイン人宣教師フランシスコザビエルが伝えたキリスト教の慶長年間の歴史を辿りました。
カトリック高輪教会を訪問し、江戸の大殉教の画、キリシタンの遺品に出会い、赤岩神父様からお話を伺いました。江戸の大殉教の地、札ノ辻へと歩き、浅草から高輪まで歩いた殉教者たちを偲びました。
最後に小説「沈黙」の作者、遠藤周作が卒業した慶応大学を訪問しました。400年前、スペイン南部、セビリアのコリア・デル・リオという町に、支倉常長遣欧使節団が到着し、その子孫がハポンという名字を持って暮らしていますが、ハポンさんが自身のルーツについて気付いたのが、遠藤周作の「沈黙」を40年前に読んだときです。不思議なつながりを感じました。
生徒の感想です。
交流がいかに大切かを学びました。ホストファミリーになることで、案内する場所、食事、活動を考え、主催しました。事前に下調べし、丁寧に説明しました。何に興味があるかを相手に聞くと同時に、私たちから積極的に物事を提案するスタンスを学びました。計画立案し、実践する過程を学ぶ、大変良い経験となりました。
スペインの生徒の感想です。
Everything was so great and I enjoyed a lot all the trips and places I discovered. I also met such incredible people who were really nicewith me and were interestedin me and my culture. Even though I had some problems with all the differences, everyone was willing to help me. I learned how to eat with chopsticks, use the train, and what type of food I prefer. I love Tokyo.
For this week in Japan, I've learned a lot of things. I've met a lot of nice people who I wish I'll see them again anytime. Yesterday we went to Tokyo museum. It was very interesting knowing about it. Then we visited the Sensoi Temple. For last, we went to the Skytree which was very interesting for me because in Spain the buildings are not that tall. The food here is very nice, andit is also very different from spain. It was a very nice week here in Japan.
