いよいよ先週オーストラリアのブリスベンに到着し、St. Paul's Schoolに通っているOさんからお便りが届きました。英語で頑張って書いてくれました。お楽しみください。
Hello from Australia! Today it has been 6 days since we left Japan.
Today was a public holiday in Australia. Do you know what today is? The answer is,,, National Day! In Japan, February 11 is National Day, but in Australia, January 26 is National Day. This is the first time I knew this.
Today was my day off from school. So, I went to a rather large shopping mall with my new friends from school.
There was a Daiso there, and it was a whopping $3.30 per piece. In Japanese yen, that is 320 yen per piece. I knew Australia was expensive.
The school itself is very large and has lockers outside. If you walk around the school, you will see many people. But in my class, there are only Japanese and Chinese. I want to do my best to make friends with many people in the next two months.
Tomorrow I will be going to the beach with my host family. I am very much looking forward to it! And on Sunday, I am going to see a movie with my friends. The movie is all in English, so I don't know if I can understand it, but I am looking forward to it.
I already miss Japan, but I plan to work hard for another two months or so, being thankful for the people I have met.
明日はJohn Paul International College に通っているIさんのお便りをお届けします。
