今日は、先週に続きGleeson College に留学しているNさんからのレポートです。
4 weeks have passed since I came to Australia!! I have been spending a great time traveling and studying at school so I would like to talk what I had experienced in Australia. I have 3 things that I want to share with. First, I traveled to the Rundle Mall with my host family, there were a lot of shops where we could buy our souvenirs and some clothes. I was surprised that there were many shops that is in Japan like Uniqlo, Diso and others. At the rundle street, I ate sweet & salty flavored popcorn that many people in Gleeson school recommended me to eat. It was delicious so I’m planning to go to the Rundle Mall again and excited to eat the other flavor!! From the Rundle Mall, I ride the tram to go to the Adelaide central market. At the central market I was looking for the kangaroo jerky but there wasn’t, so I bought the normal beef jerky, but it was a little different from the Japanese jerky it taste really good but because I ate it so much I’m not planning to eat it for a while.
Second, I went to the beach to watch the Marilyn Jetty Swim and eat fish & chips, The Marilyn Jetty swim is the event that is held in Adelaide, many people cosplay as a Marilyn Jetty and race who goals the first when I was watching there was 400 Marilyns swimming at the ocean. There was not only woman cosplaying, but there was also a lot of men’s cosplaying!! Many people were there watching the race and also the news caster was there and reporting the people swimming so I think it’s a big event in Adelaide. I had lot fun taking a photo with Marilyns. This photo is me and my host family’s friend eating fish & chips it was my first time eating those things so I was surprised that it was very delicious!! I ate it with a lemon sauce and it was good but I enjoyed most putting nothing on it.
Third, I made some sushi in school! I had never made sushi in my whole life, so I had great time learning and making with my new friends! I made my original sushi and the sushi box which was part of my school grade so I put a lot of effort! I made vegetable sushi so I named it vegie sushi. Anyways, I’m having a great time in Australia and I will have fun for the rest of my days in Australia!!
