As part of the first-grade career project, students from the international course traveled to inner Tokyo to visit the Faculty of International Liberal Arts (FILA) of Juntendo University.
First there was a presentation by a professor in the Global Health department about the different majors and courses Juntendo had to offer. Students listened intently for ideas about what to study in the future.
Next was a fabulous talk given by esteemed Professor Paul Wadden on how English became such a globally powerful communication tool and why it is still important today.
After some tips on how to enter the university, students were treated to a campus tour by Professor Istvan Zardai (who also happens to teach Philosophy at Kogakuin High School). Students saw some of the student learning centers, medical facilities, and the main building that housed a display of Juntendo's history. All in all a good day.
