タンザニア北東部の都市、アル―シャにあるラウンドスクエア校、St. Constantine's International Schoolと本校中学生、高校生のオンライン交流をご紹介いたします。
先日、St.Constantine’s International Schoolの主催するZoom Postcardに高校生が参加しました。テーマは観光業。タンザニア国立公園で働く隊員による講演後、各国の生徒が観光名所について紹介し、観光へのコロナの影響を話し合いました。
参加した生徒の感想です。
It is a great honor to communicate with friends from all over the world. Last year the novel coronavirus came out with such a vengeance that it was a huge blow to all walks of life, among which the biggest blow was tourism. Tanzania is a beautiful country located in the African continent. According to statistics, the number of people engaged in tourism in Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania and other African countries has reached 1 million. Under the epidemic, hotels, restaurants, scenic spots and other losses are serious. During the meeting, I learned about Tanzania with more than one hundred friends from different countries and shared their own tourist attractions. Looking ahead, tourism plays a unique role in local and national economic development. Countries should draw lessons from the crisis and formulate relevant plans to build strength for the recovery and transformation of tourism in the future. I hope you will take appropriate measures to help the tourism industry stabilize employment and tide over difficulties.
また、St.Constantine’sと本校中学生、高校生とのVirtual Exchangeも始まりました。これは6週間のオンライン個別交流プログラムです。先日は、オンラインで全員集合した後、工学院とSt.Constantine'sの生徒がペアになり、ブレイクアウトルームに分かれ、個別に連絡先を交換しました。今後は、二人でオンラインで会う日時、方法を決め、週ごとに課題に取り組みます。初回の課題は、互いの伝記を書くことです。生徒たちは自分自身について互いに話をした後、OneNoteに記録し、活動内容を共有します。交流を通して相互理解が深まることを期待しています。
