Several students in first grade high school traveled all the way to Kasumigaseki on their own to visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).
After entering the Ministry, the students were taken to the press conference room where staff answers questions from the media and gives information about how Japan views developments in the world. Students had the opportunity to speak at the podium.
Ater the press briefing students went into an amazing conference room with movable chairs and microphones. They heard a lecture from a senior staff member about how to join the ministry, what the daily job is like, and the importance of English and other languages for global communication.
Students were given lots of information about Japan's role in the world. They had fun and we're still thinking about it on the way back home.
